Day 5 happy...

Today the little air conditioner in my bedroom window is making me happy. I love summer, but this hot hot weather kicks my booty.

It makes me happy to know that my kids are still able to have a good relationship with their father. I'm glad that they are still able to spend lots of time with their other family.

Happy, day 2

Today at work, our plumber Marvin came in and gave us some good news. A girl at my old company (Suzanna, remember Sarah?) was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. Last I had heard she wasn't ever going to be able to have children. Anyway, I guess Marvin ran into her somewhere in Salt Lake, and she is about ready to give birth! I'm so happy for her, she's going to be a GREAT mom!

Happy, Happy...

I guess this will be good for me since it seems I am struggling right now to keep a positive attitude. Hmmm, 8 days of what makes me happy....

Of course #1 is my Ash and Bray. I must have done something right sometime to be blessed with these two amazing kids. Bray is so tender and loving and kind. This morning he came upstairs for a morning snuggle just to warm me up before we had to start the day. And Ashley is really a great help. She mowed the backyard grass and put away groceries without being asked. I'm so lucky to have them in my life.

I'll think I'll skip breakfast, thanks!

I got a new camera

So I will be posting some photos that I take here. Jody is doing this cool thing where she takes a picture each day, so I thought I would copy her and show a year in our life in photos.

If I only had a third of her energy....

Lucifer must have had some extra vitamins in her kibble this morning...she is tearing through the house at full speed this morning. From the kitchen to the dinning room, down stairs, jumping on the couch, then love seat, then lazy boy, back upstairs to start again. I hope she tires soon before she knocks a wall down. She's got good power but her breaks aren't the best!

Monday Funny

yuummmmm, hot, buttery scones.

So the kids wanted to do a science experiment today, so rather than do something messy and non-tasty, we decided to make homemade scones. Now I normally just throw all the stuff in the bread machine but this time I decided to try it by hand (thanks for the idea, Aunt Karen!) I have to brag and say that they turned out awesome and my kids think I'm a rock star because I made them their new favorite treat. We were going to have navajo tacos for dinner, but the scones didn't last long enough. I knew that Brayden was a big bread eater, but my little Ashley ate like 12.

Prayers/positive thoughts needed

I know it's been forever since I updated, and I wish I had some happier news to report.

Monday afternoon Dad was rushed to the ER with signs of a heart attack. We still don't know exactly what happened, but from what we have been able to gather (holy cow, these docs do NOT understand the meaning of keeping the family updated) he did have something going on with his heart. His blood pressure dropped to nothing a few times while in the e.r.

He is still in ICU at logan regional but he is doing better. We have some more tests to run today then hopefully we will know more. I'll keep you updated.
